Gallagher Close Farm Store
Our vision for our farm and farm store is to create and continue to build a centralized space for our community to experience the natural beauty of a working farm. We purchased the property in 2016. The farm had been dormant for more than thirty years, and the soil was stressed and overgrown, with water drainage challenges. We spent most of the first three years bringing back the farm. To offer fresh produce in our farm store, we had to heal the land and soil, which is a never-ending process on a thriving farm.
     
In 2020, we opened our farm store. Along with our free-range chicken eggs, which we have been selling for several years, we offered perennials and seedlings in our nursery, our Vermont honey, produce and flowers from our garden, and unique collectibles and books for home and garden. Despite the pandemic and state closures in the spring, our first year was successful due to the passion most of our patrons have for clean organic food and for a personal farm experience.

We are continuing to expand our vision for our farm and store, this year building a larger operation to meet the ever-growing needs of our community and at the same time create an agricultural environment that will help feed the soul of those who need a strong connection to the earth.
